The company that was behind well-known restaurant Saints & Scholars in Didsbury Village entered liquidation owing more than £150,000.
The liquidation of Didsbury Village Ventures Ltd is being overseen by Dow Schofield Watts Business Recovery after the firm was appointed recently. The company was run by sole director Colin Lowes and operated the restaurant in Wilmslow Road.
The Manchester Evening News understands that Saints & Scholars remains open despite the company entering liquidation. It is also understood that a new company is to take over the running of the venue.

According to a document filed with Companies House, Didsbury Village Ventures Ltd owed £97,995 to HMRC, £50,000 to Santander and £2,500 to Walker Begley Ltd when it entered liquidation.
A separate document confirms that the business was to be "wound up voluntarily".
Another notice filed with The Gazette also shows that Sandtassel Limited, which is behind Long Bar in Bramhall, Stockport, has also entered voluntary liquidation. That venue is also understood to be staying open.
That company, whose sole director is also Mr Lowes, owed £139,338 to its creditors including £85,000 to HMRC, £50,000 to Santander, £1,838 to Water Plus and £2,500 to Walker Begley Ltd.
Dow Schofield Watts Business Recovery is also acting as liquidator of Sandtassel Limited.
