Well wishes have flooded in for a young schoolgirl hit by a car in Falkirk yesterday.
The 12-year-old was struck on King Street in Stenhousemuir at around 3pm on Monday afternoon.
Paramedics rushed the youngster to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for treatment with a serious head injury.
Her condition has been described as stable.
A large cordon was erected and the road was closed for several hours while a collision investigation took place to establish how the accident happened.
Locals were quick to take to Facebook wishing the youngster well.
One said: "Every parents worst nightmare, my thoughts are with them and the wee girl.
"I hope she makes a speedy recovery."
A second posted: "Get well soon little one, we’re all rooting for you."
A third wrote: "Poor little angel, hope you get better soon toots."
"Absolutely horrific. Wishing you all the best darling. Hope you’re better soon", added another.
Cops say enquiries into the incident are continuing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3pm on Monday 17 January 2022, police received a report of a 12-year-old girl struck by a car in King Street, Stenhousemuir.
"The girl has been taken by ambulance to Forth Valley Royal Hospital with a head injury.
"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
