A vigil was held for the two children who died in a car fire in Co Westmeath as hundreds of people took to the streets on Sunday night.
The tragedy occurred on Friday, September 9 at around 4pm when emergency services and gardai were alerted to the incident.
Officers are continuing to investigate all the circumstances surrounding the fire, which took place near Multyfarnham. It is understood that a passer-by came across the fire that afternoon and they attempted to save the three passengers inside the car.

However, an infant boy named Michael, who had just started pre-school, was taken to Regional Hospital Mullingar from the scene, and was later pronounced dead. A five-year-old girl, named Thelma, was also pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, their mother Lynn Egar was taken from the fire and is currently receiving treatment for her injuries, which are not life-threatening.
St Cremin's national school principal, Karl Dermody, attended the vigil as well as other teachers, parents, and pupils, who walked from the local pre-school to the national school, with many of them holding candles in memory of the young kids.
Two teachers carried photographs of the children, as Mr Dermody said the school was "devastated" to learn of the sudden death of Thelma, a senior infants pupil at the school.
The principal told RTE News that teachers and students will remember young Thelma as a "warm, happy and vibrant" member of the school.
He said the priority now is to ensure that there are supports in place for pupils and their families during this time. Psychologists will also be on hand at the school this week to support teachers and students.
