Communities in South Lanarkshire have until the end of the month to express interest in Scottish Government funding for projects that will improve the area.
The Regeneration Capital Grant Fund is managed by the Scottish Government and delivered in partnership with COSLA to support locally-developed regeneration projects that involve local communities.
The aim of the funding is for communities to launch projects to improve the area, support and create jobs and build sustainable communities.
The Scottish Government delivers the funding in disadvantaged communities to ensure they are supported and sustainable.
The regeneration funding is delivered in partnership with communities and local governments, it is aimed at providing economic recovery and tackling inequality.
South Lanarkshire Council is accepting stage one applications to the fund for 2023 to 2024.
Residents are urged to share information with groups or individuals who are interested in the possible funding opportunity for their community.
To receive funding, there is a two-stage assessment, with the stage one deadline estimated in June 2022 and the stage two deadline scheduled for October 2022.
Awards can range from £250,000 to over £1m, but all successful projects must be underway by December 2023.
To express interest for the grant, it should be made before March 28 by 5pm.
People should include an outline of the project, location of the project site, estimated cost of the project, details of any match funding and details of site ownership.
