The Washington Commanders were back on the practice field Thursday ahead of their Week 6 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.
The Commanders received some good news on the injury front, with only reserve cornerback Christian Holmes missing practice with a hamstring injury. The concern is that Holmes is a key performer for Washington’s special-teams units. Earlier this week, the Commanders lost their top performer on special teams, safety Jeremy Reaves, with a partially torn ACL.
Here’s the full injury report for Washington:
- CB Christian Holmes: DNP (hamstring)
- TE Curtis Hodges: Full (illness)
- LT Charles Leno Jr: Full (finger)
- DL Efe Obada: Full (knee)
- WR Curtis Samuel: Full (finger)
Obada is on his way back from a knee injury that cost him the first five weeks of the season. Washington opened his 21-day window earlier this week, meaning it has that timeframe to either activate Obada or end his season.
No one missed practice for the Falcons, although right tackle Kaleb McGary was limited. Here is their injury report:
- OT Kaleb McGary: Limited (knee)
- OLB Bud Dupree: Full (wrist)
- TE Jonnu Smith: Full (ankle)
