Commanders vs. Eagles Picks, Predictions, & Best Player Prop Bets

Commanders vs. Eagles on Thursday night highlights a massive showdown in the race for the NFC East title.

NFL fans are gifted with an excellent divisional matchup for the second consecutive week between two division champ hopefuls.

This time, it’s the Commanders and the Eagles out of the NFC East.

Two teams, a combined 14-3-1 against the spread, set the stage for a pivotal NFC East showdown. The Eagles, at 7-2, hold a slim one-game lead over Washington, now at 7-3. On Sunday, Philadelphia surged past Dallas, while Washington, under new head coach Dan Quinn and quarterback Daniels, showed promise but fell just short of toppling Pittsburgh, coming up one defensive stop shy of an 8-2 record.

For Washington, this is more than just a game. After years spent at the bottom, they find themselves in striking distance of a playoff push, carrying momentum and belief under Quinn’s guidance. The challenge, though, is immense. It’s a short week, and they’re headed to Lincoln Financial Field—a place where the energy will be deafening, and the stakes couldn’t be higher.

Washington has struggled to rebound, having lost seven straight following a defeat, and has a tough record (1-6 ATS) against teams with winning records. Yet, in what promises to be an electrifying atmosphere, this is the kind of big-stage opportunity that teams like Washington, often written off at this point in the season, have yearned for.

We’re officially 5-1 in our last two Thursday night best bets!

Commanders vs. Eagles Picks, Predictions, and Best Player Prop Bets

The Commanders have fought valiantly against the Eagles in recent battles, but success has remained just out of reach. Last season, Washington put up a fierce fight in both matchups, ultimately falling short in high-scoring affairs. Heading into this showdown, the stakes feel even higher, and every detail—every decision—could tip the scale. For Ron Rivera’s team, much hinges on the health of critical players. Right tackle Andrew Wylie, running back Brian Robinson Jr., and newly acquired cornerback Marshon Lattimore—any one of them back on the field would make a difference. But even at full strength, this will be an uphill climb.

Washington’s defense, led by coach Dan Quinn, has shown grit and resolve. Yet they’re still vulnerable to explosive plays, especially against a quarterback like Jalen Hurts, who has been spreading the field with precision. Hurts has led the Eagles on an impressive five-game winning streak, keeping the chains moving alongside the powerful Saquon Barkley.

Jayden Daniels can answer with big plays of his own, especially if Washington can establish a ground game against an Eagles defense that has surrendered over 100 rushing yards only once in the last five games. But Philadelphia’s firepower, their rhythm, and the stakes at home might just be too much to overcome.

Jayden Daniels – QB, Commanders –  Under 226.5 Passing Yards (-115)

Jayden Daniels is averaging 214.7 passing yards per game, just shy of his line for this week at 226.5. While he’s hit that mark five times this season, the young quarterback faces a formidable Eagles defense on Thursday.

Philadelphia’s secondary has been nothing short of stifling, holding the Cowboys and Giants to under 50 net passing yards in their matchups — the only two times this season any NFL offense has dipped that low. In fact, it’s a feat so rare it’s never been seen before in the history of the league.

On the season, Daniels has managed to exceed his passing yards prop in six out of 10 games, hovering just over his season average by a fraction, but the Eagles’ defense brings a level of challenge that could keep him under that mark once again. With a reputation for shutting down even the most seasoned quarterbacks, Philadelphia has found ways to close passing lanes, apply pressure, and create situations that force mistakes.

On Thursday night, it’s hard to envision a scenario where Daniels finds the breathing room he needs. I expect the Eagles to hold firm — a defensive wall, ready to keep the young signal-caller in check.

Under 48.5 Total Points

This is one of those totals where you keep checking to see what you’re missing, and then you’re suddenly terrified you’re on the wrong side because of your overconfidence. But I’m riding with it. People are hammering this over to begin the week. I’m going the other way.

Washington brings the league’s most explosive offense, moving at a relentless pace. But the Eagles, under Vic Fangio, seem to be hitting their stride on defense — blending disguises and coverage schemes that can fluster even seasoned quarterbacks, let alone a rookie like Jayden Daniels.

Heading into Week 11, Philadelphia’s defense ranks sixth in EPA allowed per play and leads the league in opponent success rate per snap. They’ve started creating pressure without heavy blitzing, letting the front four disrupt while the linebackers lock up passing lanes and track the mobile Daniels.

Offensively, Philadelphia has a different game plan. They’ll aim to dominate possession, using a ground game that’s heating up, now ranked in the Top 5 in the NFL for yards per carry. Against a Commanders defense vulnerable to the run — surrendering the eighth-highest success rate per rush — the Eagles’ approach seems well-matched.

The Prediction: Eagles 27 – Commanders 20

Best Bets:

  • Eagles – 3.5
  • UNDER 48.5
  • Jayden Daniels UNDER 226.4 Passing Yards (-115)
