The Washington Commanders had six players miss practice Thursday, including Pro Bowl defensive tackle Jonathan Allen.
The good news for Washington is Allen simply had a veteran’s day off. However, wide receiver Jahan Dotson [hamstring] and linebacker Cole Holcomb [foot] each missed practice again Wednesday.
After practice, Washington coach Ron Rivera didn’t sound too optimistic about Dotson for Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.
“Well, I’m not anticipating him being there Sunday,” Rivera said. “It’s unfortunate, but he’s still tight. So, they’ve been working him inside, been working him in the water on the treadmill and just trying to get him going.”
That’s not encouraging. If Dotson is unable to play, it would be the fourth consecutive game in which he has missed after a strong start to the season.
While Holcomb has missed two straight practices, it would take a significant injury for him to miss Sunday’s game.
Guard Saahdiq Charles [illness], cornerback Willliam Jackson III [back] and tight end Cole Turner [concussion] also missed practice. Trai Turner continues to fill in for Charles.
Wide receiver Dyami Brown [groin], tight end Logan Thomas [calf] and running back Jonathan Williams [knee] were all limited.
Here is a look at the Colts’ injury report for Thursday.
