Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels has taken the NFL by storm. No one, not even the Commanders, expected him to hit the NFL ground running and never look back. Many thought he would take years to acclimate to the league, to learn how to remain poised in the pocket.
But Daniels has proven every person who doubted him wrong. He remains poised, confident and truly seems to understand where he needs to go with the ball in critical moments. His decision-making has been on-point, he can use his legs when needed, and as much as his teammates rally behind him, he trusts them just as much.
For the second time this season, Daniels was voted as the FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week for Week 8.

Against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Daniels put up 326 yards and a touchdown and rushed eight times for 52 yards. He was sacked twice, but didn’t turn the ball over once. He did this playing with a rib injury that clearly affected his ability to move around the field.
Daniels is proving to be a far better pick, a far better fit in Washington than anyone thought. He, along with Dan Quinn, is leading this team to a place it hasn’t been in a very long time.
