Commanders CB Kendall Fuller named to PFF’s NFL First-Quarter All-Pro Team

Washington Commanders cornerback Kendall Fuller is off to a terrific start in 2023. The 28-year-old is rarely targeted these days, as opposing quarterbacks continue to target first-round pick Emmanuel Forbes.

Forbes had a rough outing on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, allowing nine receptions and two touchdowns. It was a “welcome to the NFL moment” for Forbes.

As far as Fuller goes, he’s one of Pro Football Focus’ top-graded cornerbacks, and for good reason. PFF recently named its first-quarter All-Pro team, with Fuller as one of two cornerbacks chosen.

On the field for 165 coverage snaps, Fuller has allowed just 41 receiving yards on seven receptions from 14 targets. He’s been one of the best tacklers at the position, both in coverage and against the run, with his 11 tackles resulting in a defensive stop ranking second at the position.

Fuller is the only Washington player on PFF’s All-Pro team.

Fuller had an excellent season last year for the Commanders. Now in his eighth NFL season, Fuller is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent in 2024.
