The Commanders suffered a 31–19 loss to the Giants in Week 11, and they couldn’t even wash off their blues as all water in the home locker room at FedEx Field wasn’t working after the game, The Washington Post’s Sam Fortier reported.
One of the first things players do after games is shower, and the Commanders squad didn’t even have the opportunity to do that. It’s unknown if the Giants’ visiting locker room had hot water or not.
NFL fans couldn’t help but make jokes that seemed to write themselves when the news of the water being off came out. Check out some of the best responses.
There is reportedly no water in either the Commanders or Giants locker room at @FedEx Field. So no post-game showers.

That just seems like a perfect ending for that game. pic.twitter.com/8tIWyVtLwF
Commanders being unable to get clean after being swept by the Giants is such a wonderful metaphor. https://t.co/wHrqoff0LS

Regardless, this was quite the way to end a rough loss to an NFC East rival. Washington fell to 4–7 on the season, while the Giants moved up to a 3–8 record. The Commanders will look to bounce back from this loss on Thursday when the team faces the Cowboys in the annual Thanksgiving game.
