Comic Relief shake up as Zoe Ball is second host forced to pull out

Zoe Ball is the latest celebrity to be affected by coronavirus.

The TV presenter and radio DJ revealed today that she would have to step down from hosting tonight's Comic Relief after testing positive for Covid-19. She is the second celeb who has had to drop out after Joel Dommett also tested positive.

Taking to Instagram, Zoe announced her replacement would be Alisha Dixon. She joked that she might invite Joel over to her 'sick bay'.

She shared an image of a positive lateral flow test as she wrote: "Pook! Fell at last hurdle and have had positive lat flows this AM- noooooooo - gorgeous @aleshaofficial is going to work the double shift tonight on @ComicRelief, I owe you lady love.

"Good luck to A, Lenny, David, @mcguinness.paddy, @ajodudu, @vernonkay, and the @comicrelief gang, so many brilliant treats in store tonight. I'll be watching & supporting from bed (probably in full make up, outfit, heels and all). Might invite @joeldommett over #sickbay."

The image showed that her nails were already done in a Comic Relief theme with red dots with eyeballs on to replicate a red nose.

Joel Domett replied to her as he said: "NOOO! You already got the nails done!! Rest up.. you will feel fine in a couple of days! Xxx"

The comedian also took to social media to confirm that he wouldn’t be able to take part in the big TV night. He wrote: “Super annoyed to report that I have the vid.

“This unfortunately means I have to pull out of hosting @comicrelief .. My incredible replacement is the better looking, more talented @vernonkay who is ace.”
