Bill Bailey would like to represent the UK at Eurovision next year.
And he would like the Strictly pros performing with him in Liverpool.
The comic has written a French ballad about a crow, which he performs on his stand-up tour. He says: “The French do very well in Eurovision, because they seem to get it right. I’ve written this ballad about a child that becomes a friend of crows.
“It’s like a 70s TV show in a song, all in French. It’s been good fun.”
The UK will host the contest on behalf of this year’s winners, Ukraine. Bill, who won Strictly in 2020 with Oti Mabuse, believes we should use our finest dancers to help us win in May.
He says: “Get the pros to do a big number. I mean, it’s in the bag, surely?”
He is currently starring in Hennikay on Radio 4 and BBC Sounds, with episodes going out on Tuesdays.
