Glaswegian comedy legend Billy Connolly has been spotted perusing the streets of the city, as he visited a Mediterranean restaurant this week.
The comedic giant, who retired from live stand-up due to his Parkinson's disease diagnosis, is rarely spotted in public anymore. However, one eagled-eyed worker at Mediterraneo Ristorante and Champagne Bar snapped a picture with the star.
Posting on their Facebook page, the Glasgow restaurant wrote: "Serving a Glasgow Legend! Billy Connolly at #Mediterraneo", alongside an Italy and Scotland flag emoji. Fans of the restaurant and Billy took to the comments to share their excitement at the rare appearance of the star.
