Comedian Troy Hawke leaves visitors in stitches in hilarious video at National Galleries of Scotland

The president of the Greeters Guild brought his unique brand of comedy to the National Galleries of Scotland in Edinburgh recently, leaving museum guests in stitches. Troy Hawke has gone viral on the internet with his hilarious clips that see him acting as an unusually dapper door greeter at venues across the country, welcoming and waving goodbye to visitors.

Having previously posted clips of him greeting people outside outlets like Tesco and Wetherspoon’s, the comedian decided to bring his comic genius north of the border to Edinburgh for the Festival. The self-styled 'Errol Flynn of the high street' soon has people in stitches as he offers them compliments with his trademark posh drawl.

Sporting a purple silk smoking jacket and cravat, the alter ego of award-winning comedian Milo McCabe jokingly describing Van Gogh as a "one-eared madman" and tells people to "get in there and get stimulated".

Some people were left baffled but others including one older lady were soon laughing away after being greeted by him. At one point, a clearly confused staff member comes to ask him if he's "working" today.

A top stand-up comedian and star of TV shows like ITV's Benidorm, Milo has hit the headlines recently after videos of his latest creation, the over-the-top foppish door greeter, taking up posts everywhere from high street stores to the Man City training ground (where he described Erling Haaland a 'tremendous Nordic meat shield') were posted on social media sites like TikTok and Twitter.

The comedy star was in town to bring his new set, Sigmund Troy’d to the Festival and clearly decided to have some fun to promote his show.
