Lee Evans was once the biggest name in UK comedy -then shocked fans in 2014 when he announced he was quitting fame.
The comedian has now been spotted out in public for the first time in a year as he enjoyed a bike ride.
Making the most of his retirement, the 57-year-old stand up comic and actor cycled through Essex on his electric bike.
Lee was dressed in dark grey trousers and a black polo shirt, donning sunglasses and a cap for his exercise session.
Keeping a straight face, the doting family man kept his focus on his ride rather than the photographers.

Lee was a huge star before hanging up his microphone.
He performed a string of arena tours and starred in Hollywood movies like Mousehunt with Nathan Lane and opposite Cameron Diaz in There's Something About Mary before giving it all up to spend more time with his wife Heather Nudds and their daughter Mollie.
Shocking fans back in 2014, he announced his retirement during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show.
After the host asked how much longer Lee was going to tour, the comic announced: "This is it. Finished."
His admission even shocked Jonathan, who asked again and again if he was being serious.
"It's the end," Lee said.
And when asked if he was saying he wasn't going to tour any more, Lee went on: "No. Not doing anything. This is it. I've finished."
And when asked why he said: "Well my manager died last year."
After some people in the audience laughed, thinking Lee was telling a joke, Jonathan held his hand up and said: "No he did, that's not a joke."
Lee continued: "To be fair, I've been working... I mean I started off cleaning toilets as a kid and I've had loads of jobs and I just kept working and working and working.

"My dad always said to us, 'You've got to work'. So I've just continuously worked and done comedy tours but I've ignored - I think for far too long - my missus and I want to spend a lot more time with her."
When Jonathan suggested that the tour he was on the show to promote was his "farewell tour", Lee said: "This is it. I ain't doing nothing, I'm going to go see my wife, give her a big hug and say 'I am yours'."
He joked: "And I know what'll happen, in a week it'll be, 'Get out!'"
