"Light On Made In Italy" is the theme of the 7th edition of the Italian Design Day which brings the beauty, originality and creativity of the universally appreciated industrial design of Italy to three major venues in Bangkok.
Iconsiam is hosting "Italia Geniale", an exhibition of 71 iconic masterpieces of Italian design, until March 16. The objects will trace the history of Italian industrial design in every sector, from furniture to vehicles, from sport to food design, and clothing to robotics. Meaning Brilliantly Italy, the show was previously held in Rome and in the Italian Pavilion at Dubai Expo 2020. Bangkok is the first stop-over of the Asian tour of this exhibition.
Running on the 4th floor of the Central Embassy is the "Italian Lighting Exhibition", an exposition of lighting objects characterised by quality, innovation, functionality and energy saving.
The main Thai and Burmese importers of Italian lamps and lighting objects such as Euro Creations, Lamptitude, Motif and Supremo Vita present a wide selection of lighting fixtures from leading Italian companies in the sector.
Lighting design is tailored to the cities of the future, where the quality of life and environmental protection go hand in hand with product appeal. Also, these topics are at the heart of Rome's bid to host Expo 2030. The exhibition will wrap up on March 17. The flagship event, however, will be the Dolce Italia fashion show featuring Italy's latest fashion trends on the catwalk. It will take place at CentralWorld today from 5.30-8pm.
Fashionistas have until April 30 to shop for Italian fashion and products in the beauty and home sector and enjoy special promotions and activities. The products are also available at Central Chidlom.
