Come Dine With Me viewers rejoice over Edinburgh contestant's low score

Come Dine With Me is showing off what Edinburgh has to offer this week as five hopefuls battle it out for a cash prize.

Cooking up a storm in the kitchen of a breathtaking mansion are; property manager and law student Sharon, management consultant Anthony, geography teacher Ashley, creative writer and charity director Gerald and museum worker Carmen.

On Thursday's episode on Channel 4, it was Gerald's turn to offer up some American-inspired dishes.

His food was met with a mixed bag of opinions from his fellow contestants, but Sharon had a few more negative points to say throughout the evening.

Sharon has been an unfavourable contestant through the week, with viewers with some calling her a 'sourpuss', while viewers taking to social media to note how much she complains.

On the show, tension has grown between her and Anthony as they continue to clash heads.

And Gerald raised eyebrows when she arrived to his 'dress down' night in a stilettos, a pencil skirt and blouse.

But as the scores came in, Gerald received a reasonable amount of points, putting him in joint place with current top dog Anthony.

Meanwhile, Sharon remains at the bottom.

Along with a GIF of someone applauding, one fan wrote: "STILL in last place."

Another wrote: "Hahaha look who is still last!"

And noting her giving low marks, "A six from Sharon", a third added sarcastically with a GIF of a woman fainting.

"Sharon, the dinner-companion nightmares are made of. Tiresome doesn't even begin to cover it", a fourth said.

We still have one more night to go where geography teacher Ashley has the chance to impress.

You can watch Come Dine With Me at 5pm on Channel 4 and catch up on All4.
