Come Dine With Me: The Professionals is being filmed in Swansea and they want people to take part

A popular dinner party TV show will be filmed in Swansea later this month with a brand new twist - and you could be a part of it. Come Dine with Me: The Professionals is a new version of the much loved original format.

But in this version it will be three duos from three restaurants competing against each other to host the best meal and win £1,000 in cash. Filmed across the UK, the show will feature three restaurant duos comprising of at least one chef/cook and another member of staff/owner battling it out across three nights. At the end of each dinner, each duo rates the meal on a scale of one to twenty inclusive.

The scoring will be judged on food/drink, service, general atmosphere and overall experience and each duo will be asked to explain the reasoning behind their scoring. At the end of the last meal, the host of that meal gets the voting results, which will then be read to the other competitors. The duo with the highest score wins £1,000. In the event of a tie, the £1,000 is split between the winning duos. You can get more Swansea news and other story updates straight to your inbox by subscribing to our newsletters here.

The new show will be filmed in Swansea from August 29 to August 31. If you wish to apply to be part of the show, you can do so by clicking here.

In March, we reported how Come Dine With Me had been filmed in Swansea, and a contestant from the city surprised herself - and her fellow guests - when she ended up liking a dish that she feared would look like “a big arse-shaped” piece of meat. You can read more about that by clicking here.
