Colts vs. Packers: What to know from Green Bay’s final injury report

As did the Indianapolis Colts, the Green Bay Packers released their final injury report on Friday with injury designations for a few players.

The Packers had three players listed as questionable for Sunday’s game, which included quarterback Jordan Love (knee), wide receiver Jayden Reed (shin/calf), and running back MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring).

Let’s take a quick look at what we know and what this might mean for this Week 2 matchup.

Jordan Love: To state the obvious, a lot obviously changes if it’s Love under center versus Malik Willis. Packers coach Matt LaFleur has kept the door open all week in regards to Love potentially being available on Sunday. He even said during a sit-down conversation with Larry McCarren on the team’s site that Love’s injury is more “day-to-day.” As the Packers Wire Zach Kruse noted, in 2023, 64 percent of the Packers’ questionable players ended up playing that week. So it certainly seems like there is some sort of chance that Love will play on Sunday.

Jayden Reed: The Packers added Reed to the injury report on Friday. He had practiced the two days prior. Reed is the Packers’ primary slot receiver and is coming off a 828 yard and eight touchdown rookie season in 2023. He got off to a fast start in Week 1, totaling 138 receiving yards with a score. The Packers will also use him on end-arounds, where he had another 33 yards and a touchdown against the Eagles.

MarShawn Lloyd: Lloyd was a third-round pick by the Packers. He missed the first game dealing with a hamstring injury that limited his time on the field during training camp. If Lloyd can play, the Packers will have some packages for him, but this is still going to be a Josh Jacobs-heavy game, and given Lloyd’s lack of experience, I wouldn’t be surprised if Emanuel Wilson out-snapped him as well.
