The playoffs are starting early for the Indianapolis Colts, who find themselves in what is basically a must-win game this week against Denver.
With a win, the Colts would be just one game back of Denver, hold the head-to-head tie-breaker, and have a favorable schedule to end the season. However, a loss, and PFF has the Colts’ playoff chances at that point sitting at just 10 percent.
Games are often dictated by which team can best control the line of scrimmage, and on both sides of the ball, that is an area where Denver has been very stout.
Their offensive line has been one of the best at limiting pressure, while the Broncos defensive front is top-five in both pressure rate and yards per rush allowed.
How well the Colts are able to hold up in the trenches will go a long way in determining the outcome of this game.
