The #Colts plan to interview #Titans senior defensive assistant Jim Schwartz for their vacant defensive coordinator job, sources say. The former #Lions HC and long-time respected DC is a strong candidate in Indy, which also interviewed Joe Cullen and Chris Harris for the job.

The Indianapolis Colts are in the market for a new defensive coordinator after Matt Eberflus was hired as the next head coach of the Chicago Bears, and a member of the Tennessee Titans is currently on their radar.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Titans’ division rival plans on interviewing Tennessee’s senior defensive assistant, Jim Schwartz, for their vacant defensive coordinator job.
Schwartz has been with the Titans for one season in his current role — and in that season, Tennessee saw a major revival on defense after having a horrid showing in 2020.
Schwartz is one of the more qualified candidates out there, as he has both head-coaching and defensive coordinator experience. He also has a strong connection to current Colts head coach, Frank Reich, as the pair were the offensive and defensive coordinators when the Philadelphia Eagles won Super Bowl LII.
Schwartz taking the Colts job would obviously be problematic for a few reasons.
Not only would the Colts have a good defensive coordinator in him, but he could also give Indy valuable info about the Titans, something the Indianapolis could use after going 0-2 against Tennessee in 2021.
