The Indianapolis Colts announced on Monday that they’ve signed linebacker Segun Olubi to a one-year contract extension.
Olubi’s primary role this season again came on special teams, where he led the team in snaps playing 381 across five of the six special teams phases.
Behind only Ashton Dulin, Olubi was second on the team in total tackles on teams. League-wide, Olubi played the ninth-most special teams snaps among any player in the NFL and was 35th in special teams grade from PFF out of 82 eligible players.
Defensively, Olubi played 21 defensive snaps this season all in Week 7 against Miami. On the depth chart, he was behind Zaire Franklin, EJ Speed, Jaylon Carlies, and Grant Stuard.
Both Speed and Stuard are set to be free agents this offseason.
Along with signing Olubi to a one-year extension, the Colts are also bringing back running back Tyler Goodson for the 2025 season as well.
