Fresh off a close loss in Super Bowl LVII, Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Shane Steichen is expected to fly to Indianapolis to finalize his deal to become the next head coach of the Colts on Monday.
It was reported before the Super Bowl on Sunday that the Colts are targeting Steichen as the next head coach, but nothing is official until the team announces it as so.
While both sides still have to agree to terms of a contract, Steichen is flying to the Circle City to, hopefully, iron out the fine print, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Steichen and the Eagles offense had a spectacular showing in Super Bowl LVII on Sunday night. They scored 35 points, totaled 417 yards and were 11-of-16 (61%) on third down and 3-of-5 (60%) in the red zone.
Steichen’s first order of business will be to put together a staff, and then they will begin searching for a new quarterback to draft when April rolls around. Considering the success he’s had with Philip Rivers, Justin Herbert and Jalen Hurts, it seems all four prospects could be on the table for the Colts.
Nothing is official until the team announces it as so, but Steichen appears to be in line as the next head coach of the Colts.
