The Indianapolis Colts ruled out right tackle Braden Smith and tight end Kylen Granson on Friday ahead of the Week 7 matchup against the Cleveland Browns.
Neither Smith nor Granson were able to log a practice this week due to their injuries so the fact that they’re ruled out isn’t much of a surprise.
Smith didn’t practice at all this week after suffering a hip injury during practice last week. This will be the second consecutive game Smith will be inactive for, meaning rookie Blake Freeland will once again get the spot start.
Meanwhile, Granson entered the concussion protocol this week after developing symptoms following the Week 6 loss against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
With Granson out, the Colts will lean on Drew Ogletree and Mo Alie-Cox while rookie Will Mallory should be active working in the flex tight end role.
