The Indianapolis Colts continue to round out their practice squad, reportedly signing defensive tackle McTelvin Agim, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Agim would make the Colts’ initial 53-man roster in 2023 and then was quickly waived before being added to the practice squad. Agim would appear in one game last season, the team’s Week 8 matchup with New Orleans.
He played six special teams snaps and 13 on defense, totaling one pressure and two total tackles.
Agim was signed to the Texans’ practice squad in mid-January prior to their playoff matchup with Baltimore. He then spent the offseason and training camp in Houston.
Appearing in all four of the Texans’ preseason games, Agim played 116 snaps on defense, totaling three pressures and three tackles. He was waived by Houston during roster cutdowns.
The Colts have a very robust defensive front on the 53-man roster that should be one of the more disruptive units in football. If there is a question mark, it is around their run defense depth–although the addition of Raekwon Davis and a Year 2 jump from Adetomiwa Adebawore can help solidify that unit.
