The Indianapolis Colts (3-3-1) and Washington Commanders (3-4) are just about set for a Week 8 matchup at Lucas Oil Stadium.
While the Colts will be giving Sam Ehlinger his first career NFL start, the Commanders will be rolling with Taylor Heinicke, who steps in for the injured Carson Wentz.
Despite the quarterback change in the Circle City, the Colts opened the week as favorites for this matchup, and it will remain that way going into the weekend.
Here are the updated betting odds for the Week 8 matchup, provided by Tipico Sportsbook:
Spread | Moneyline | Total Points | |
Washington Commanders (3-4) | +2.5 | +120 | O 39.5 -112 |
Indianapolis Colts (3-3-1) | -2.5 | -150 | U 39.5 -108 |
Nothing has changed over the course of the week since the opening odds were released.
This game could go either way. It’s difficult to tell just what kind of impact Ehlinger will have on the offensive side of the ball. His mobility should create a spark for the Colts, but he’s also making his first-ever start in the league.
He should have a full complement of weapons around him with a defense that has been playing well for the majority of the season so it should certainly be interesting to see what kind of spark he can provide.
