The Los Angeles Rams already had a favorable matchup with the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4, but things just got even easier for them. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Taylor wasn’t traded before Tuesday’s roster deadline, but he is expected to remain on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list to start the year.
That means he’ll miss the first four games of the season, which includes Week 4 against the Rams. It’s a significant blow to the Colts, who will now be without their best player against Los Angeles.
With the way the Rams’ run defense has looked, Taylor may have been in for a big day, but Los Angeles won’t have to worry about the former All-Pro running back on Oct. 1.
Taylor has been out all summer while on the PUP list and will now miss four games to start the year.
No deal: Indianapolis did not find what it felt was a fair-value offer for Jonathan Taylor and it is not trading its All-Pro running back today, league sources tell ESPN.
