Colts news: What else happened in the AFC South in Week 5?

We know what happened between the Indianapolis Colts and the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, but what else took place around the AFC South in Week 5?

Before seeing what the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans were up to, if you’d like to dive into the good and bad from the Colts’ performance, click here.

The Titans did not play on Sunday as they were off with a very early bye week this season. The Texans, meanwhile, found themselves in a close matchup at home with the Buffalo Bills.

The Texans at one point held a commanding 20-3 lead in the third quarter, but the Josh Allen led Bills put together a comeback, scoring 17 unanswered points to tie the game with under four minutes to play.

With the Texans on the cusp of field goal range, an intentional grounding penalty on CJ Stroud forced Houston to punt. With the Bills inside their own five yard, they came out aggressive with three straight passes, all of which fell incomplete and took almost no time off the clock, and forced them to punt.

Beginning the drive at the Buffalo 46 yard line and with just seven seconds left, Stroud completed a quick five yard pass to running back Dare Ogunbowale, setting up a 59 yard attempt for Ka’imi Fairbairn, which he made, giving Houston the win.

Stroud completed 28-of-38 passes for 331 yards with a touchdown and in interception. Stefon Diggs led the Texans in receiving against his old team with 82 yards while Nico Collins had 78 yards.

The Texans improved to 4-1 with the win and further distanced themselves from the rest of the division. The Colts are now 2-3, the Jaguars 1-4 and the Titans 1-3.

Next up for the Colts is a road matchup with the Titans. Houston will travel to take on New England and Jacksonville will face Chicago in London.
