Colts’ Matt Ryan will start vs. Vikings in Week 15

Coming out of the bye week, quarterback Matt Ryan will be the starting quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts when the team travels for a Saturday afternoon game against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 15.

When the Colts went into the bye week, there were a few questions surrounding the quarterback position, especially considering the condition in which we last saw it during the 54-19 romping against the Dallas Cowboys.

In that game, Ryan completed 21-of-37 passes for 233 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions. He also lost a fumble.

However, interim head coach Jeff Saturday told the media Monday after the bye week that Ryan is expected to be the starter against the Vikings.

We say expected because we’ve seen how quickly this can change. When Saturday took on the job as interim head coach, they said Sam Ehlinger was going to be the starter. That didn’t even stay true for the first game under Saturday as Ryan wound up being the starter.

The Colts have a ton of question marks at the quarterback position and none of them have instilled any hope. Ryan is likely gone after this season, Ehlinger didn’t show much in a small sample size, and we already know what Nick Foles is.

Regardless, Ryan is expected to be the starter going into Saturday’s game against the Vikings, but it’s best to take everything they say with a grain of salt.
