Colts had top-30 visit with UCLA TE Greg Dulcich

The Indianapolis Colts had a top-30 visit with former UCLA tight end Greg Dulcich ahead of the 2022 NFL draft, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

With Jack Doyle retiring this offseason, the Colts signed Mo Alie-Cox to a three-year extension. But that need at tight end is still pretty large as the Colts head into the draft.

Dulcich will be a hot commodity as the potential No. 1 tight end off the board at the end of the month.

At 6-foot-4 and 243 pounds, Dulcich ran a 4.69 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL combine this offseason. In 2021, he recorded 42 receptions for 725 yards and five touchdowns for the Bruins.

Dulcich fits more of the “F” tight end role as a receiver given his explosiveness and catch radius. If the Colts were to take him on Day 2 of the draft, he would be major competition for that role against 2021 fourth-round pick Kylen Granson.

The Colts need to add more weapons for veteran quarterback Matt Ryan and the tight end position is included in that.
