Indianapolis Colts left tackle Bernhard Raimann developed concussion symptoms following Thursday’s practice and was placed in the league’s protocol just days before the Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.
Because Raimann was placed in the protocol with such little time until the game, he was ruled out on the team’s final injury report.
Buy Colts Tickets“Bernie (Bernhard Raimann) picked up symptoms in practice the other day so he’s in the protocol,” said head coach Shane Steichen on Friday.
With Raimann absent for Sunday’s game, it’s likely that the Colts will lean on fourth-round pick Blake Freeland at left tackle. The BYU product has served as the team’s swing tackle since being drafted in April, and this will be his first game action during the regular season on the offensive side of the ball.
Raimann has had a solid start to his second campaign, allowing just four total pressures on 134 pass-blocking snaps through three games.
