The Texans hold the 25th overall selection in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft. In total, Houston has six selections in this year’s draft–one in each round except for in the sixth.

According to NFL.com, the Texans top needs to address this offseason include receiver, guard, defensive tackle, cornerback, and offensive tackle.

Salary cap situation

The Texans currently have $6.08 million in available cap space, according to Over the Cap. Relative to the rest of  the NFL, this ranks 24th.

Additional cap space is going to have to be created by Houston this offseason. That can be accomplished through veteran cuts or kicking the salary cap can down the road via contract restructures. Extensions can also create cap space in the current year as well.
