Following the Senior Bowl, NFL.com’s draft analyst Lance Zierlein put together his first 2025 NFL mock draft, and he has the Indianapolis Colts going in a different direction.
With the 14th pick in Zierlien’s mock draft, the Colts address the interior offensive line, taking Missouri’s Armand Membou.
“Membou is on the short side for a tackle, but he has long arms and good tape,” wrote Zierlein. “He’s a good technician and has a chance to start immediately at right guard for the Colts.”
Membou has played almost 2,100 snaps during his three seasons at Missouri, most of which came at right tackle. During his career, he was credited with allowing just three sacks, and over the last two years, which has spanned 849 pass-blocking snaps, Membou allowed just 23 total pressures.
In 2024 specifically, Membou ranked 11th among all tackles in PFF’s pass-blocking efficiency metric, and his run-blocking grade took a massive jump with him finishing with the fourth-best overall grade in 2024 at his position group.
For more on Membou, here is a snippet of what Zierlein wrote in his scouting report:
“Membou plays with composed quickness and elite body control. He delivers good pop on contact and has the range to spring runs with blocks in space. Footwork and core strength fuel stick-block sustain, but he can be outreached by edge-setters.”
There are question marks for the Colts on the offensive line this offseason. However, will they address that position early in the draft?
I think that ultimately comes down to whether or not Will Fries returns. If he does, while depth along the interior offensive is still needed, spending a first round pick on the position isn’t going to be in play for the Colts.
But if Fries ends up elsewhere in free agency, right guard becomes a huge need with Dalton Tucker the as the only viable option to start there on the current 2025 roster.
