With the Reese’s Senior Bowl taking place on February 1st, let’s take a position-by-position look at who will be participating in the week-long event and could be of interest to the Indianapolis Colts.
Next up are the wide receivers, but if you missed any of our other previews up to this point, you can find them below:

From the sounds of it, based on GM Chris Ballard’s season-ending press conference, the theme of the offseason for the Colts is going to be ‘competition.’ As Ballard reflected on what went wrong in 2024, the big “mistake” was the lack of competition on the roster from 2023 to 2024.
If the goal is to add competition throughout this roster, then as I detailed recently, with just about every position group, you could justify an addition or two being made.
However, as I put the Colts’ positions of need into tiers, wide receiver was at the very bottom of the list. This position group is in pretty good shape.
Although the Colts didn’t have that dominant receiver who put up eye-popping numbers, they were the only team in football to have three different receivers all eclipse the 800-yard mark.
Michael Pittman is the reliable target on short to intermediate routes out wide. Josh Downs was a go-to option from the slot, and Alec Pierce provided the downfield presence.
And not to be forgotten about is AD Mitchell. While it was a bumpy rookie year, and more consistency is needed, if your fourth receiver is a high upside developmental player, who has already shown an impressive ability to create separation, then your receiver room is in pretty good shape.
But with that said, particularly in January, you never quite know where the winds of the draft are going to take you over those three days. So to cover our bases, here are the receivers participating in this year’s Senior Bowl:
Isaac TeSlaa, Arkansas
Chimere Dike, Florida
Arian Smith, Georgia
Pat Bryant, Illinois
Jayden Higgins, Iowa State
Jaylin Noel, Iowa State
Kyren Lacy, LSU
Tai Felton, Maryland
Xavier Restrepo, Miami
Tez Johnson, Oregon
Jamaal Pritchett, South Alabama
Elic Ayomanor, Stanford
Bru McCoy, Tennessee
Savion Williams, TCU
Jalen Royals, Utah State
Da’Quan Felton, Virginia Tech
Jaylin Lane, Virginia Tech
Kyle Williams, Washington State
Jack Bech, TCU
The Senior Bowl is an invitation only, All-Star college football showcase held each year in Mobile, Alabama.
Here, top prospects are able to display their talents throughout the week against high-level competition, in drills, on the practice field, and then the week concludes with a game between the American and National teams.
The event attracts general managers, coaches, and scouts from across the league, and in addition to the on-field portion of the week, NFL teams also get the opportunity to meet with prospects as well.
