With the Reese’s Senior Bowl taking place on February 1st, let’s take a position-by-position look at who will be participating in the week-long event and could be of interest to the Indianapolis Colts.
Next up, is the offensive line, but if you missed any of our other previews up to this point, you can find them below:
Quarterbacks
Linebackers
Running backs
Tight ends
Wide receivers
Cornerbacks and Safeties
The Colts carried over the same offensive line from 2023 into 2024 and that unit was supposed to be one of the strengths of the team this past season.
Unfortunately, and a heavy reliance at times on inexperienced players zapped some of that effectiveness.
As the second half of the season progressed, with the Colts getting healthier on the offensive line, along with a change at right guard, the run game picked up steam. However, there was a stretch from Weeks 9-12–a month long–where outside of one 58 yard run by Jonathan Taylor against Buffalo, he averaged just 2.9 yards per carry in that span of games.
In pass protection, following Anthony Richardson’s return to the starting lineup, he was one of the most pressured quarterbacks from Week 11 through Week 16, and if not for his ability to avoid sacks, would have been sacked at a much higher rate as well.
Overall, GM Chris Ballard mentioned that the offensive line ended the season playing better and that he liked what he saw from the rookies. But on the to-do list this offseason will be making sure that the Colts have the right “talent level” and “depth” in the trenches.
Ryan Kelly is set to be a free agent, and at this time, it looks like the Colts are willing to move on and let Tanor Bortolini take over at center.
Right guard Will Fries is also a free agent, and while roster turnover wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing for this team, re-signing Fries should be a priority.
From a depth perspective along the interior offensive line, that will have to be addressed as well with Danny Pinter and Mark Glowinski also free agents.
Even the tackle spot could be added to. Without Braden Smith at the end of last season, Blake Freeland was the only other true tackle option on the roster behind Bernhard Raimann and Matt Goncalves.

The event attracts general managers, coaches, and scouts from across the league, and in addition to the on-field portion of the week, NFL teams also get the opportunity to meet with prospects as well.
