Colorado’s Hunter and Sanders Cause Seismic Shift In Heisman Betting Odds

Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter’s performances in Colorado’s shocking upset over TCU in Week 1 has caused a massive shift atop the Heisman Trophy betting odds.

Sanders, the son of head coach Deion Sanders, posted a record-setting effort, becoming the first quarterback in program history to throw for 500-plus yards.

Hunter, the Buffaloes two-way talent, was sensational playing a total of 129 snaps on both sides of the ball. On the offensive side of the ball, Hunter hauled in a game-high 11 receptions for 119 yards, while recording three tackles and an interception on defense.

After the game, both Sanders and Hunter's odds to win the Heisman sent oddsmakers scrambling. Entering the game, Sanders was offered as 150/1, while Hunter was listed at 100/1 at SI Sportsbook.

Following their incredible showings, Sanders was trimmed to 28/1 while Hunter was sliced to 25/1. Despite the massive moves, both players still trail USC's reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams, who sits atop the betting board to repeat at odds of +450.

The phenomenal Colorado duo not only have the college football world buzzing, but they’ve have drawn in the oddsmakers, forcing them to now be offered among the top betting choices in one of the sport’s most popular markets.
