With the Coody twins back in the lineup, Texas men’s golf was back atop a leaderboard.
The Longhorns set a school record for lowest 54-hole score in relation to par en route to winning the 2022 Augusta Haskins Award Invitational presented by Valspar at Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. Texas shot 12 under as a team in the final round to run away with the title, beating second-place Oklahoma State by 26 shots. Illinois came in third at 16 under.
Both Parker and Pierceson Coody returned to the lineup after freak injuries sustained in the fall, with the latter claiming the individual title at 17 under for his second college win. All five Texas players finished among the top 13.
