The Tennessee Titans added a pair of offensive linemen in the 2023 NFL draft, with the first being offensive tackle Peter Skoronski out of Northwestern at No. 11 overall.
Tennessee later went on to double-dip at the position, selecting Maryland tackle Jaelyn Duncan in the sixth round.
Skoronski is expected to start in Year 1, but where that ends up being remains to be seen. In my way-too-early starting offensive line projection, I have Skoronski starting his career at left guard after he loses a competition to Andre Dillard for left tackle.
However, I am not in the crowd that thinks he’s destined to be a guard forever because of his short arms. Skoronski has more than enough talent in other areas to overcome said issue, if you want to call it that.
Check out some of Skoronski’s highlights (via Off-season Productions on YouTube) from college. One thing to note is how fast he gets off the line, something our Shaun Calderon broke down recently.
