New photos have emerged from the set of The Batman starring Robert Pattinson, with his co-star Colin Farrell almost unrecognisable in character as The Penguin.
The new on-set photos were taken in Liverpool, where the production was shooting what appears to be a funeral scene.
Pattinson is pictured in character as Bruce Wayne with his straight dark locks, while Zoe Kravitz and John Turturro were also pictured, playing Catwoman and Carmine Falcone respectively.
Farrell was also pictured in heavy prosthetics, barely recognisable as the villainous Oswald Cobblepot - aka The Penguin.
The funeral in question appears to be being held for a character played by Welsh actor Rupert Penry-Jones, presumably Gotham mayor Don Mitchell Jr, who is one of The Riddler’s first victims.
Filming on The Batman was halted due to lockdown earlier this year, and resumed in August, only to be suspended again in September when Pattinson tested positive for coronavirus.
The new Batman film is directed by Matt Reeves, who helmed the second and third instalments of the modern Planet of the Apes trilogy.
The ensemble cast also includes Paul Dano as The Riddler, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon and Barry Keoghan as Stanley Merkel.
