Seahawks fans who want to see the team move on from Russell Wilson and find a new franchise quarterback should take notice of all the other fanbases around the league that would be thrilled to see Wilson suiting up for their team in 2022.
While we still believe that Wilson isn’t going anywhere, it’s hard to ignore all of the chatter out there about Wilson potentially leaving for another club. For what it’s worth, ESPN analyst Tim Hasselbeck is predicting that Wilson will be starting for the Steelers come Week 1. Meanwhile, Colin Cowherd doesn’t think Wilson will finish his career in Seattle.

There’s still no definitive reporting about Wilson truly wanting a change of scenery. At best, there’s only rumored interest from a couple of AFC teams who are expected to make a change at QB this offseason.

Also, Ben Allbright says the Broncos would explore acquiring Wilson if he becomes available and Aaron Rodgers stays with the Packers.

If the organization changes course and does decide to trade Wilson, they probably wouldn’t want to see him playing for a conference rival. That makes Denver and Indianapolis the most likely candidates to make a deal. The trouble is neither team has a suitable starting quarterback to offer in exchange and the same goes for the Steelers.
There is only a handful of quarterbacks around the league who we would rather have than Wilson. That list consists of Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson. At the moment, none of them are available.
Truth is, there’s really only one logical partner for the Seahawks if Wilson winds up on the trade block. If they don’t mind dealing him to an NFC team, the Eagles have three first-round picks, several quality pass rushers and two intruiging young quarterbacks on rookie contracts. Until Philadelphia gets on the phone with an offer that’s too good to refuse, Wilson is staying put.
