Coleen Rooney wins Wagatha Christie court battle against Rebekah Vardy as verdict announced
Coleen Rooney has won her High Court libel battle in the "Wagatha Christie" case.
Rebekah Vardy, 40, who is married to Leicester City striker Jamie, was suing Mrs Rooney, the wife of England star Wayne, for defamation.
In a viral social media post in October 2019, Mrs Rooney , 36, said she had carried out a "sting operation" and accused Mrs Vardy of leaking "false stories" about her private life to the press.

Mrs Rooney publicly claimed Mrs Vardy's account was the source behind three fake stories she had posted on her private Instagram account.
Mrs Vardy denied leaking the stories and sued her fellow footballer's wife for libel, while Mrs Rooney defended the claim on the basis her post was "substantially true".
Crying woman screams 'he has been stabbed' as man put in ambulance
A woman screamed "he's been stabbed" as a man was put in an ambulance and rushed to hospital.
Merseyside Police were called to Gwladys Street, in Walton, at around 6.30pm on Thursday, July 28, following reports of a fight in the street. Once at the scene officers found a man was stabbed in the arm.
After requesting assistance for the North West Ambulance Service, the man was rushed to hospital. It is believed the injured man was involved in an fight earlier in the day with another man.

"I just heard lots of shouting [on Thursday], they started fighting and arguing last night up to 7 o’clock this morning."
Another witness said they saw a man "running from the scene".
Iconic Liverpool nightclub set for restaurant transformation
Part of a historic Dale Street building where Liverpool clubbers had 'the best night of their lives' could be set to become a new restaurant.
The Grade II-listed State Insurance building on Dale Street originally launched as a ballroom in the 1920s and was taken over by Littlewoods in the 1940s. It became iconic nightclub The State in the 80s and 90s.
Now, plans have been filed to transform part of the space into a licenced restaurant. According to a document submitted to Liverpool City Council, the proposed space would have a footprint of almost 13,000 sq ft.

Highneal Ltd is behind the application for outline permission. A spokesman for the business told the ECHO: "We have applied for planning permission for restaurant use and have a company as a prospective tenant.
"However until a lease is signed, which is quite a long way off, I am unable to divulge the identity of the interested party."
