Coleen Rooney wanted family time instead of dealing with 'nonsense' Wagatha trial

A friend of Coleen Rooney has said that the WAG thought the fallout with Rebekah Vardy was "nonsense".

Speaking exclusively to OK! Magazine, close friend and fellow WAG Tanya Bardsley said Coleen would have rather spent time with her husband, Wayne Rooney, and four sons, rather than having to deal with the fallout that lead to a High Court libel battle.

Former Housewives of Cheshire star, Tanya, said that the 'Wagatha' court case was “the last thing” Coleen wanted. Instead, she preferred to spend time with sons Kai, 13, Klay, nine, Kit, six and four-year-old Cass.

Speaking to OK! the reality star said: "It’s the last thing Coleen wanted. She would rather spend the time with the kids, rather than all that nonsense."

Rebekah tried to sue the mum-of-four for publicly accusing her account of leaking ‘false’ stories about Coleen to a national newspaper. Coleen tried to settle out of court before it was sent to a judge.

The judge ruled that Coleen’s accusations were “substantially true” and that Rebekah “deliberately” deleted messages to cover her tracks. Ultimately, Coleen won the court case and Rebekah was ordered to pay her opponent's legal costs - In total the costs were thought to be about £1.5million.
