Coleen Rooney hits back after Rebekah Vardy hinted she was 'milking' her foot injury

Coleen Rooney is putting her best foot forward following her legal victory last week - hitting back at Rebekah Vardy's subtle hint she was 'milking' her foot injury this morning.

The mum-of-four, 36, is celebrating no longer needing to wear a plastic air boot on her left foot, after suffering a horrific injury at the start of the year.

Coleen's health update comes as Rebekah spills all on their Wagatha Christie feud to various media outlets - including revealing if she felt her rival was 'milking' her foot injury during their court appearances in May.

Taking to Twitter this morning [August 3], Coleen shared a snap of a x-ray of her injured foot with her 1.2million followers.

"Boots finally off after my break," the Liverpool-born star captioned the picture to her fans - adding woozy-face and praising-hands emojis to her update.

Coleen was memorably pictured entering the High Court each day in May with a plastic air-boot adorning her foot, thanks to suffering a nasty fall in her Cheshire home in March.

In one of her many interviews following Friday's Wagatha Christie judgment, Rebekah was asked if she believed Coleen was "milking the moon-boot".

A judge finally delivered their judgment on the Wagatha Christie case last week - giving Coleen the long-anticipated vindication over fellow WAG Rebekah, who sued her for libel after Coleen accused her of being behind leaked stories to the press.

Mrs Justice Steyn ruled in Coleen's favour on Friday, declaring Coleen's now-infamous social media post in October 2019 accusing Rebekah's Instagram account of selling stories to the press to be "substantially true".

Rebekah continues to deny being responsible for the leak and has given multiple interviews following the verdict protesting her innocence.

The mum-of-five has claimed "there was no acceptable olive branch" from Coleen amid reports Wayne Rooney 's wife tried to settle their Wagatha Christie saga out of court.

The footballer's wife, 40, has referred to the suggestion that Coleen, 36, repeatedly tried to avoid their dispute making it to court as "the most ridiculous thing", and recalled "hostile tones" being used in letters discussing a possible settlement.

Speaking in a statement after the judgment was delivered on Friday, Coleen said that she was "pleased" the ruling went in her favour, but that she "never believed" the case should have gone to court "at such expense in times of hardship for so many people when the money could have been far better spent helping others".

In one of her interviews, The Sun asked Rebekah if it was true or false that "Coleen repeatedly tried to settle out of court.

"Is that true and why didn’t you accept it?"

Rebekah's response reads: "Sorry this is the most ridiculous thing. There was no acceptable olive branch whatsoever.

"And when you are reading the hostile tones of the letters there was clearly no settlement that was going to work.

"And if you include a settlement being ‘Accept you did it and drop hands’ then, you know that wasn’t my sort of settlement."

The Mirror has previously approached representatives for Coleen for comment.
