Coleen Nolan says Jimmy Savile invited her to hotel suite as a kid

In the wake of a new Netflix documentary recently released about Jimmy Savile and called Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story, the Loose Women were today (April 12) discussing the issues surrounding the film when presenter Coleen Nolan revealed she too was almost a victim of Savile herself.

Sitting alongside her fellow Loose Women Katie Piper and Denise Welch, Coleen who was part of the pop-singing group The Nolan Sisters said: "I was 14, and my sisters were appearing on Top of the Pops, and I was too young at that stage. He (Jimmy) asked, could I stand with him on the podium to introduce them."

Co-host Denise Welch rolled her eyes at this typical behaviour for Savile where, in the Netflix documentary there is footage of him appearing to touch young women standing next to him when he hosted the BBC music show. Coleen continues: "He said, 'where do you live now?' and I said, 'I still live in Blackpool', and he said 'well I'm there next week and I've got a suite at the hotel, you should come and visit me'."

The presenter continued: "I didn't (visit him), nothing happened and I just thought, 'he's a creep'. But he was one of them, he'd take your hand to kiss your hand, but then he'd lick your hand, he was horrible." And with that Coleen wipes at her hand and gives a grimace at the memory.

The Netflix documentary Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story is available to stream in two parts on the platform.
