Coleen Nolan’s boyfriend defends ‘down to earth’ Loose Women star amid feud claims

Coleen Nolan 's boyfriend Michael Jones has defended her "down to earth" nature amid the ongoing Loose Women controversy.

Earlier this month, the 56-year-old TV star was left horrified as rumours emerged that fellow panellists including Stacey Solomon and Nadia Sawalha refused to appear on the ITV show if Coleen was due to be on the panel.

While Coleen has continued to deny the rumours, speculation about an ongoing feud between the Loose Women ladies is still rife despite the fact that Stacey, along with Janet Street-Porter and Brenda Edwards have spoken out in Coleen's defence.

The TV star has been left feeling 'so hurt' by the speculation, and has denied claims that she acts "high and mighty" on set.

It's hurt Coleen so much that she's now taking legal action against the claims, but the appreciative star has gushed about her fellow Loose Women pals who have stuck by her side.

And her boyfriend has now also spoken out in her defence.

Sharing his thoughts on the controversy, Micheal told OK! Magazine : "It’s really frustrating having to see her explain situations that have got nothing to do with her.

"The annoying thing is you couldn’t meet a lovelier person. She’s so generous and down-to-earth.

"It’s just ridiculous. I’ve been to Loose Women and everybody says the same thing – that she’s the nicest person to work with."

Coleen also addressed the ongoing rumours by explaining the effect it has had on her beau - who she first met on Tinder.

"It’s horrendous," she said. "It’s the only time in seven months I’ve ever seen Michael not calm."

Lifting the lid on the drama further, Coleen also told OK! Magazine: "Oh it really hurt. The girls have been so supportive – besides, none of us on Loose Women have ever said we wouldn’t work with anyone else. It was just so upsetting."

The TV star also insisted that she would never 'refuse' to work with any of the Loose Women stars as she detailed her closest relationships with the other panellists.

"Brenda, Ruth and Janet are the ones I’m always talking to," Coleen told.

"I get on with all of them. I would never refuse to work with anybody."

She also insisted that she could "never be high and mighty" amid claims that she acts superior to others on the Loose Women set.

"I could never be 'high and mighty' because my mother would jump up from her grave and batter me," the TV star said.

"I can’t stand divas of any kind. I’ve had enough drama in my life, I don’t need any more."

It comes after Coleen disappointed viewers when she failed to address the backstage fallout rumours, despite having promised to do so on Twitter before the broadcast.

The former singer slammed the allegation that there is tension between her and her colleagues and insisted the rumours would be put to bed live on air.

However, Coleen later explained she had been unable to address the rumours after advice from her lawyers.
