Coleen Nolan 'heartbroken' as son Jake Roche makes huge career announcement

Loose Women star Coleen Nolan has said that she feels 'heartbroken' after her son Jake Roche, made a 'life-changing' decision about his career.

Jake, 30, who Coleen shares with ex partner Shane Richie, made the decision to step away from his band Push Baby - leaving some fans heartbroken over the shock announcement.

The performer and his bandmate Charley Bagnall took to their official Instagram account to drop the bombshell news.

The Instagram statement read: " Legends, we've both been mulling over how best to communicate this for the past few weeks now. However, we feel being completely transparent is the only way. We're going to take a break from push baby."

Jake went on: "It's hard to fully convey what you, our fans, have meant to us over the years. We can't even put it into words. You've been with us through it all".

After her son shared the news with his fans, Loose Women star Coleen took to her own Instagram to share her heartbreak.

Coleen, 57, re-posted Jake's statement alongside a number of broken-hearted emojis to showcase her devastation.

Just last month, Jake had promoted his band's tour all over his social media platforms.

The 30-year-old performer shared the news of his tour after a self-deprecating comment about life as a pop star.

Jake harshly dubbed himself a 'failure' as he admitted to having money woes in a TikTok video.

The star, who also enjoyed a brief stint on Emmerdale, said: "I'm on Universal Credit, and I live with my mum in her garage. I'm a failure."

"Firstly I'd like to say you are not a failure," the TikTok star replied. "Everyone goes through hardships in life and you will get through yours."

Jake then smiled before saying: "Thank you, you are a legend."

He first stepped into the spotlight by joining band Rixton in 2013, during which they initially sang cover versions of famous songs such as Miley Cyrus ' Wrecking Ball and Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines.

Their debut single, Me and My Broken Heart, saw them soar to the top of the charts in the UK, Australia and Sweden in 2014.

The group went on to tour across the world and while they attended Capital FM's Summertime Ball, Jake met Little Mix's Jesy Nelson.

After getting engaged in 2015, the pair split the next year.

That same year, Rixton embarked on a four-year hiatus. When they returned in 2019, the band announced that they were retiring their name and rebranding as Push Baby.

They initially signed to Republic Records and released their first song, Mama's House, in April that year.
