Coleen Nolan is celebrating a big milestone today as she turns 60, but she’s admitted she has mixed feelings about the occasion—especially as a single woman. The Loose Women star has been reflecting on her journey in an interview with The Mirror, sharing both the excitement and the bittersweet emotions that come with this new decade.
After recently splitting from her boyfriend of three years, Michael Jones, Coleen has been honest about her fears of not finding love again. “[I’m] turning 60 as a single woman and, while that’s right for me at this stage, I did have a moment this week of feeling a little sad that I might not get to love again,” she admitted. “I love being in love and being loved, and I feel I still have a lot to give in that department.”

Coleen and Michael first met on Tinder and enjoyed a happy relationship before deciding to part ways last year. Despite the breakup, she’s made it clear there’s no bad blood between them. Speaking to OK! Magazine, she explained: “We’ve decided that we would rather just stay friends, take it as a friendship. And, you know, it’s nothing to do with anyone else, it’s nobody’s fault.”
With her packed schedule, balancing work commitments and life on her farm, Coleen admitted she couldn’t dedicate time to everything. “I’m really busy and when I’m not really busy with work, I’m busy on the farm, and I feel personally that I can’t give time to everything,” she said. “We still get along great and hopefully we can continue to be friends, who knows?”
Although she doesn’t regret their time together, she’s ruled out going back to dating apps, saying she’s leaving love to fate. “I won’t be doing the dating app thing again – if I do meet someone, it’ll be through fate or friends, although I can’t really imagine it, as the only guys I meet in my industry are either too young, married, or gay,” she joked.

Despite her personal reflections, Coleen was left in tears of joy when her Loose Women co-stars pulled off a huge surprise for her birthday. During Monday’s episode of the ITV panel show, Kaye Adams, Jane Moore, and Judi Love secretly arranged for her family to appear on set.
Blindfolded before the big reveal, Coleen was visibly overwhelmed when she realised her sons Jake Roche, Shane Nolan, and daughter Ciara Fensome were in the studio. The emotional moment saw her break down in happy tears as she ran straight to them, exclaiming, “Oh my God! Is this why I’ve been kept prisoner all day?”
Still in shock, she added, “So far, I’ve had the worst day of my life. They literally locked me in the dressing room. This was a genuine surprise. Gosh, it’s too emotional.”
For someone who’s always been open about her ups and downs, it was a touching way to mark a milestone birthday. And while Coleen might have her doubts about love in the future, one thing’s for sure—she’s surrounded by plenty of it.
