Coleen Nolan denies being 'high and mighty' on Loose Women set amid 'upsetting' rumours

Coleen Nolan has denied being 'high and mighty' on the set of Loose Women amid 'upsetting' rumours of an ongoing feud between her and her co-stars.

Earlier this month, the 56-year-old TV star was left horrified as rumours emerged that fellow panellists including Stacey Solomon and Nadia Sawalha refused to appear on the ITV show if Coleen was due to be on the panel on the same day.

While Coleen has continued to deny the rumours, speculation about an ongoing feud between the Loose Women ladies is still rife despite the fact that Stacey, along with Janet Street-Porter and Brenda Edwards have spoken out in Coleen's defence.

The TV star has been left feeling 'so hurt' by the speculation, and has denied claims that she acts 'high and mighty' on set.

It's hurt Coleen so much that she's now taking legal action against the claims, but the appreciative star has gushed about her fellow Loose Women pals who have stuck by her side.

Lifting the lid on the drama, Coleen told OK! Magazine: "Oh it really hurt. The girls have been so supportive – besides, none of us on Loose Women have ever said we wouldn’t work with anyone else. It was just so upsetting."

Coleen also insisted that she would never 'refuse' to work with any of the Loose Women stars as she detailed her closest relationships with the other panellists.

"Brenda, Ruth and Janet are the ones I’m always talking to," Coleen told.

"But I love Christine Lampard. I left her out last time and she said, 'I thought I was your friend!'

"I get on with all of them. I would never refuse to work with anybody."

Coleen also insisted that she could 'never be high and mighty' amid claims that she acts superior to others on the Loose Women set.

"I could never be 'high and mighty' because my mother would jump up from her grave and batter me," the TV star said.

"I can’t stand divas of any kind. I’ve had enough drama in my life, I don’t need any more.

"This is my time to enjoy myself, and I’m not going to let anyone spoil it. I just want a quiet life, feeding my goats and doing Loose Women."

It comes after Coleen disappointed viewers last week when she failed to address the backstage fallout rumours, despite having promised to do so on Twitter before the broadcast.

The former singer slammed the allegation that there is tension between her and her colleagues and insisted the rumours would be put to bed live on air.

Coleen later explained she had been unable to address the rumours after advice from her lawyers.

She wrote: "I’m so sorry we couldn’t say what we planned to today but my lawyer advised me to go through the legal process, but rest assured you will hear the outcome of this and I will share it when I can.”
