Chances are that your favorite football player is an unapologetic Swiftie.
Since Taylor Swift has been touring over the past year after releasing “Midnights” last fall, we’ve seen some pretty famous athletes publicly celebrate their fandom for her, from Iowa’s Caitlin Clark to New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones. Aaron Rodgers and Miles Teller showed up at a T-Swift show, and Travis Kelce tried to pass his phone number to her.
Count the Wisconsin Badgers among those who might be jamming out to 1989 (Taylor’s Version) in the locker room when it comes out in October.
Recently, true freshman quarterback Cole LaCrue grabbed the microphone during what looked like a team meeting and led the Badgers in a delightful sing-along to Swift’s 2009 hit, “You Belong With Me.”
It’s really fantastic. Take a listen.

Wisconsin fans loved it too. Check out the replies to that tweet, or the comments on the TikTok post.
The Badgers – ranked No. 19 in the preseason AP Top 25 Poll – open their season under new head coach Luke Fickell on Sept. 2 at home against Buffalo.
Let’s change things up: Blast “You Belong With Me” over the loudspeakers instead of “Jump Around.” Get the Swifties rocking at Camp Randall Stadium. Who says no?
