Coldplay 2023 tour dates - how to get tickets and all the locations they're playing

Coldplay has announced more tour dates for their Music of the Spheres tour that will take place in 2023.

The indie band have recently completed six nights at Wembley Stadium in London, with crowds lighting up the sports and entertainment venue with their glowing wristbands that Coldplay concerts are now famous for.

The Music of the Spheres tour has been promoted as a sustainable event, powered by rechargeable batteries and fuelled by renewable sources.

The tour, which kicked off in Costa Rica in March 2022, has seen the likes of London Grammar and H.E.R join Coldplay on stage as the support acts.

But when are the new Music of the Spheres tour dates and how can you get tickets?

Here's everything you need to know.

What have Coldplay said about the Music of the Spheres tour?

Coldplay previously stated that their Music of the Spheres tour would be as "sustainable as possible" (PA)

Ahead of the COP26 summit last year, Coldplay stated that they wished for the Music of the Spheres tour to be one of the greenest in history as they pushed to make their event more environmentally friendly.

The band told social media platform Twitter at the time: “We’ve been planning this tour for years, and we’re super excited to play songs from across our whole time together.

“At the same time, we’re very conscious that the planet is facing a climate crisis.

“So we’ve spent the last two years consulting with environmental experts to make this tour as sustainable as possible, and, just as importantly, to harness the tour’s potential to push things forward.

“We won’t get everything right, but we’re committed to doing everything we can and sharing what we learn."

They added: “It’s a work in progress and we’re really grateful for the help we’ve had so far.

"If you’d like to come to a show and sing with us, we’re so excited to see you.”

As well as the "show battery", which has been supplied by BMW to run the show via renewable energy, there are many other ways during the concert where fans can get involved to make the event more sustainable.

At the concerts, there are kinetic floors placed in certain locations so that fans' movements can be converted into energy, and there are also electricity-generating pedal bikes so fans can actively charge the show's batteries.

These sustainable alternatives will replace the usual diesel and petrol generators, which will reduce the carbon footprint of the tour.
